  1. Lecture for Tonight’s Meeting: Tonight’s lecture was presented by Insyte.

The presenter was Erin Garris, on the topic Exocrin Pancreatic Insufficiency.

Thank you Erin for providing a very informative lecture.

  1. Attendance:

Thank you for your cooperation with attendance and RSVP’s. Please continue to be considerate with RSVP’s. Please avoid being a “no-show” after RSVP of yes was given.

  1. Legislative Updates: (Kim Churach)

Senate Bill 717 passed; need House of Representatives to pass their piece of this bill. Continue to lobby your legislators and thank those who have supported our efforts.

  1. PAC Fund (Teresa Holman):
    1. We still need to boost funds due to recent legislative activities. Thank you for the recent donations to help with the legislative agenda. PCNP still needs support with PAC Fund. Please consider donating money to the PAC Fund. Checks payable to PCNP PAC.
  2. Physician Assistant Update: Eric Olstad (PA Liason) and Barb Speelhoffer will compile a list to identify PA’s that are active in our chapter. Membership fees need to be established. There is an account for the PA’s; will also need to identify management of this account.
  1. CEU Chairperson: Tricia Eckman continues as our CEU chairperson. An updated list of CEU opportunities will be emailed shortly.
  1. Membership Updates (Kim Churach):
    1. PCNP’s 2016 Conference is scheduled for November 3-5, 2016 at the Kalahari Conference Center in the Pocono’s. Registration is now open on the PCNP website: http://www.pacnp.org/
  1. Attendance and Meeting Logistics (Kim Churach):
    1. New Whoozin.com RSVP continues to work well! Invitations to meetings are pulled from the current PCNP member list. First come, first serve. There is a RSVP deadline as mandated by Kimberton Inn and the sponsor.
    2. All members and guests must sign-in on both sheets: **This is mandatory**

  1. Basket Raffle :
    1. Cheryl Schlamb donated the Wegman’s gift card and bottle of wine for this month! Thank you!
    2. Sandy O’Hara will donate next month’s basket.
    3. Total collection today was $133.
    4. Please consider donating a basket for a future meeting.

  1. Next Meeting: THERE IS NO AUGUST MEETING. Our next scheduled meeting will be held on Wed., September 21st, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Kimberton Inn. Topic is Recovery Oriented Care: Addressing the Multiple Principles of Recovery for Opioid Addiction. Speaker is Seth Ivins, M.D. Internal Medicine=specializes in Addiction Medicine and sponsor is Indivior Solutions-Representative: Heidi McCracken.
