  1. Lecture for Tonight’s Meeting: Tonight’s lecture was HIV and Long Term Health. Speaker was Catherine Holdsworth, PhD, CRNP. Sponsor was Gilead and Rep was Peter Tronosky. Thank you for providing a very informative lecture.
  1. Attendance:

Thank you for your cooperation with attendance and RSVP’s. Please continue to be considerate with RSVP’s. Remember it is unprofessional to “no-show” after RSVP was given.

  1. Legislative Updates: (Cheryl Schlamb):
  1. Cheryl Schlamb. PCNP wishes to remind everyone that it is a member driven organization. The support and donations have made PCNP strong and more successful. Please continue to support and contribute in any way. Thank you.
  1. Lobby Day is May 3rd!

It’s easy to sign up!

PCNP will set up coordinated visits with your House of Representative and Senator.

  1. Full Practice Authority Campaign Update–#CareforPA:


  • Lisa Adams discussed #CareforPA campaign. Moving past the budget stalemate, we are still in good position to pass in the Senate with no problems. The focus is now on the House. Keep Writing Letters and discuss with your House Reps!!!! This is Senator Pat Vance’s last year! She has been our champion and we really hope to get this done this year.   1. PCNP’s 2016 Conference is scheduled for November 3-5, 2016 at the Kalahari Conference Center in the Pocono’s. Save the date! More details to follow on the PCNP website: http://www.pacnp.org/ .
  1. PAC Fund (Teresa Holman):
    1. We still need to boost funds due to recent legislative activities. Thank you for the recent donations to help with the legislative agenda. PCNP still needs support with PAC Fund. Please consider donating money to the PAC Fund. Checks payable to PCNP PAC.
  2. Physician Assistant Update: Thank you Eric Olstad who volunteered to be the PA rep.

He also graciously gave an update on the upcoming state and national conference.

  1. Medical Lectures Update and Upcoming Meetings (Mary Keirsey):
    1. Thank you to Mary Kiersey, Amanda Laskoskie and Penny Vanderbeek-thank you for your help!
    2. Sponsors are booked up until May, 2016! Please forward info about future lectures to Amanda at toadrn@msn.com and Penny at pvanderbeek1@verizon.net.
  2. CEU Chairperson: Tricia has provided a list of CEU opportunities. These are now accessible via the ChesMont website.
  1. Membership Updates (Cheryl Wieczorek):
    1. Please note**** ChesMont membership list is retrieved from the PCNP website! It is important that you keep up to date via the PCNP website. Currently we are provided quarterly updates from PCNP*** Try to not have your membership expire as this results in your name being dropped from the list and your dinner invite will not populate.
    2. Check the PCNP website at www.pacnp.org for your membership status and renewal date. Also, confirm the correct email address as well. Memberships are only ONLINE for nurse practitioner members. We now have official membership cards from PCNP.
    3. Physician Assistants (PAs) are not online for PCNP and will need to fill-out membership forms each year (due by 2016). PAs will need to see Cheryl Wieczorek (email: cherylwiz@comcast.net ) for new registration forms to renew your membership and pay annual ChesMont dues.
  1. Attendance and Meeting Logistics (Emmie Amerine):
    1. New Whoozin.com RSVP continues to work well! Invitations to meetings are pulled from the current PCNP member list. First come, first serve. There is a RSVP deadline as mandated by Kimberton Inn and the sponsor.

  1. Basket/ Raffle :
    1. Teresa Holman contributed this month’s basket. Thank you!
    2. Cynthia Wagner won the basket.
    3. Total collection was $156.
    4. Linda Sticklin has generously offered to bring basket for the May meeting. Thank You!
    5. Please consider donating a basket for a future meeting.
  1. Job Opportunities:
